# How to Read the Ranking

> What you're looking at on every DecaGEO screen — the chart's weekly signals, the three numbers on each row, and the evidence tabs behind every product.

You've found your brand — now the question is what the screen is telling you. This guide walks the three views in the order you'll meet them, with links into the full reference for each.

## The chart: signals, numbers, movement

Every [AI Ranking Chart](/docs/using/ai-ranking-chart) opens with three signal cards — the week's **Leader**, **Top Mover**, and **New Entry** — that give you the category's story before you scroll ([how each is determined](/docs/metrics/rank-and-weekly-movement)).

Each row then carries the three numbers that matter:

* **Rank** with its movement since last week — your position, and its direction.
* **[DECA Score](/docs/metrics/deca-score)** — how strongly AI recommends the product, weighting position as well as frequency.
* **[Mention Rate](/docs/metrics/mention-rate)** — how often it's recommended at all: your AI share of voice.

One reading habit worth building early: the **Market Segment filters** don't slice the list — they re-rank it on questions from a different type of buyer. A product can be #2 overall and invisible for small-business buyers, and that gap is often the real finding. See [Segment Position](/docs/metrics/segment-position).

## The product details: evidence behind the position

Open any row and the numbers turn into evidence, tab by tab. A useful reading order:

1. **[Chart History](/docs/using/chart-history)** first — is this week's position a spike or momentum?
2. **[Segment Position](/docs/using/segment-position-tab)** — which buyer contexts you win, and which you're absent from.
3. **[Off-Page Citations](/docs/using/off-page-citations)** — the reviews, forums, and media AI cites when it recommends the product, and the sources where you're missing.
4. **[On-Page GEO Patterns](/docs/using/on-page-geo-patterns)** — what the most-cited pages do on-page, with the HTML as evidence.
5. **[Prompt & AI Response](/docs/using/prompt-and-ai-response)** — the actual questions and answers behind all of the above.

You don't need every tab on day one — the [product details overview](/docs/using/product-details) previews each one, so start where your question is.

## The Brand Hub: the company view

Products chart individually, but every company also has a [Brand Hub](/docs/using/product-details#brand-hub) — all of its products and every category they appear in, one level up from any single chart.
