This week, when ChatGPT was asked for CRM recommendations, HubSpot was named first across the buyer-modeled queries DecaGEO ran, scoring a perfect 100.0 on DECA Score. Salesforce held #2, Microsoft moved up to #3 by passing Zoho, and Freshworks rounded out the top five. Of the top five, only HubSpot saw its Mention Rate increase week over week. The other four all slipped. This is the AI CRM ranking for the week of April 26, 2026, measured on ChatGPT (GPT-5.4) for the United States market. Rankings are refreshed every Sunday.

What Changed This Week in CRM

The CRM category is one of the most stable categories DecaGEO measures. The same five brands that AI recommended last week still occupy the top five this week. Within the top five, two patterns stood out. HubSpot is the only brand gaining ground. Its Mention Rate rose 1.3 points to 93.7%, the only positive movement in the top five. Every other brand in the top five lost Mention Rate this week. Microsoft passed Zoho for #3. Microsoft’s Mention Rate fell 2.5 points but Zoho’s fell faster, by 6.3 points. The result was a one-spot change. Microsoft is now ranked #3 in CRM by AI, and Zoho is #4. The biggest single drop in the top five came from Freshworks at #5, which lost 12.7 points of Mention Rate. Salesforce at #2 also lost 8.9 points but held its rank.

Why HubSpot Dominates AI CRM Recommendations

HubSpot’s 100.0 DECA Score means that across hundreds of buyer-modeled queries about CRM, HubSpot was named in the top recommendation position more than any other brand. A 93.7% Mention Rate means that in nearly every AI response about CRM, HubSpot was one of the brands recommended. This level of dominance is rare across the categories DecaGEO tracks. CRM is one of the most concentrated. AI does not split CRM recommendations evenly across brands. It funnels heavily toward HubSpot.

What DECA Score, Mention Rate, and Rank Mean

DecaGEO measures three core metrics for every brand in every category.

DECA Score (0 to 100)

DECA Score answers the question: how strongly does AI recommend this brand in this category? It combines how often a brand is mentioned with where it appears in the response. Brands recommended in the first position earn more points than brands mentioned later. The score is normalized so that 100 means the brand was recommended first in every single response.

Mention Rate (percent)

Mention Rate is the percentage of AI responses that include a brand, regardless of position. A 93.7% Mention Rate means HubSpot was named in 93.7 out of every 100 CRM-related AI responses this week.

Rank

Rank is the brand’s overall position in the category, determined by DECA Score. Rank 1 in CRM means the brand has the highest DECA Score in CRM this week.

How DecaGEO Measures AI CRM Rankings

DecaGEO’s method differs from most AI visibility tools in three ways. Persona-driven queries, not generic prompts. Most AI visibility tools ask AI generic questions like “what is the best CRM software?” DecaGEO designs queries from the buyer’s perspective. Each query reflects a real buying context: team size, budget, primary use case. Over 100 buyer panels generate the queries that feed the weekly measurement. Recommendation-only counting. DecaGEO only counts brands that AI recommends as a solution. Passing mentions, comparison filler, and negative references are excluded. A brand is only credited when AI is suggesting it as a choice for a buyer in that category. Same model, same week, every week. AI responses vary across model versions and access methods. DecaGEO fixes its measurement to a single model per platform (currently ChatGPT, GPT-5.4) and a single weekly collection window (Sundays, Eastern Time). Week-over-week changes in DECA Score reflect real shifts in AI behavior, not measurement noise. Read the full methodology at decageo.ai/methodology.

What This Means for CRM Brands

For CRM brands not in the top five this week, the data is direct. AI is not currently recommending you when buyers ask. The brands AI is recommending are HubSpot, Salesforce, Microsoft, Zoho, and Freshworks, in that order. The path to changing AI’s CRM recommendations is the same path SEO once was: build content, citations, and authority that AI consumes when forming its answer. The difference is that AI rankings move faster than search rankings, and they move based on different signals. DecaGEO publishes the weekly chart so brands can see exactly where they stand and how that position is changing. The full CRM chart, including brands ranked beyond the top five, is available with an account.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is HubSpot ranked first in AI CRM recommendations?

HubSpot earned a 100.0 DECA Score this week, the maximum possible value. This means HubSpot was named in the top recommendation position across the buyer-modeled queries DecaGEO sent to ChatGPT for the CRM category. HubSpot’s 93.7% Mention Rate also leads the category, indicating that AI mentioned HubSpot in nearly every response about CRM.

Which AI model does this CRM ranking use?

This ranking is based on ChatGPT, specifically GPT-5.4. DecaGEO uses a single fixed model version per platform to keep weekly measurements consistent. Multi-engine support, including Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and AI Overviews, is on the roadmap.

How often is the AI CRM ranking updated?

The CRM ranking is refreshed every week. Data is collected every Sunday in Eastern Time and published the same week. The week of April 26, 2026 is observation number 047 in the 2026 series.

What is the difference between DECA Score and Mention Rate?

Mention Rate measures how often a brand is mentioned in any position. DECA Score measures both how often the brand is mentioned and where it appears in the response. A brand mentioned often but always in last position will have a high Mention Rate but a lower DECA Score. A brand mentioned only when it is in first position will have a high DECA Score but a moderate Mention Rate. The two metrics together describe AI visibility more completely than either alone.

Why is my CRM brand not in this ranking?

If your brand is not in the top five visible here, it may still appear in the full CRM chart. DecaGEO ranks dozens of brands in each category. The full ranking, including positions beyond the top five, is available to signed-in users at decageo.ai/category/crm. If your brand does not appear in the chart at all, it means AI did not recommend your brand in the buyer-modeled queries DecaGEO ran this week.

Is the AI CRM ranking the same as SEO ranking?

No. SEO rankings reflect how Google ranks pages for a search query. The DecaGEO AI CRM ranking reflects which brands AI recommends as solutions in response to buyer questions. The signals AI uses to form a recommendation differ from the signals Google uses to rank pages, and the two rankings are not interchangeable.

Can I track my brand’s AI CRM ranking over time?

Yes. DecaGEO publishes a new CRM ranking every week and preserves the history. You can track week-over-week movement, compare against competitors, and segment by buyer persona. Sign in at decageo.ai to access the full chart and historical data.
