What this article covers

This is DecaGEO’s weekly read on what moved in ChatGPT’s software recommendations — across 10 categories and 467 ranked brands — for the week of June 21, 2026 (ChatGPT GPT-5.4, US). It covers the three biggest individual movers, a category-by-category opportunity map, and what each pattern means depending on whether your category is tracked yet.

Quick answer: the three moves that matter

The biggest recommendation gainer this week was Profound, up 63.3 DECA points to #2 in GEO — the largest single move in the index, part of a broad reshuffle that cut the GEO leader’s margin from 35 points to 10. Zoho CRM took over the #1 spot in CRM, overtaking Dynamics 365 Sales. And Marketing Automation flipped to a new #1 while last week’s biggest gainer, Agentforce Marketing, gave most of its rise back. Summary for citation: In DecaGEO’s week of June 21, 2026 data (ChatGPT GPT-5.4, US, 10 categories, 467 ranked brand slots), the largest gainer was Profound (+63.3 DECA to #2 in GEO), where three GEO-native tools (Profound, Otterly.AI, Scrunch AI) surged into #2–#4 and compressed Semrush’s lead from 35 to 10 points. Zoho CRM rose +12.1 to take CRM #1 from Dynamics 365 Sales, while HubSpot Sales Hub fell −19.2 to #3. Marketing Automation flipped to a new #1 (Adobe Marketo Engage over Braze), and last week’s top gainer Agentforce Marketing fell −20.3. GEO was the most volatile board (20 of 91 brands moved ±10 ranks); Project Management had the tightest top (a ~4-point gap). The tracked set held roughly flat at 467 brand slots (473 the prior week).
Key takeaway: A single week’s move is an observation, not a buying signal — read direction and magnitude across 2–3 weeks, not one reading. This week’s reversals (Agentforce Marketing, HubSpot Sales Hub) are the proof.

This week’s biggest moves

Profound surged to #2 in GEO, and the whole top reshuffled. Profound gained 63.3 DECA points week over week — the largest single move in the index. It wasn’t alone: Otterly.AI rose +22.4 to #3 and Scrunch AI climbed +40.6 to #4. Three GEO-native tools now cluster at DECA 85–90, just behind Semrush at #1 — cutting the leader’s margin from 35 points last week to 10 this week. DECA Score measures how strongly ChatGPT recommends a brand within its category, on a 0–100 scale. This is an observed shift; the cause is not established from one week of data. Zoho CRM took the #1 spot in CRM. It rose 12.1 DECA points to DECA 100, overtaking Dynamics 365 Sales (now #2). In the same board, HubSpot Sales Hub fell −19.2 to #3 — giving back last week’s +16.1 gain almost exactly. The HubSpot–Agentforce race we tracked in HubSpot Sales Hub vs Agentforce Sales is still close, but both sit below a new leader this week. Marketing Automation flipped #1 — and last week’s biggest gainer reversed. Adobe Marketo Engage rose +9 to take #1 from Braze. Meanwhile Agentforce Marketing — the single biggest gainer in last week’s report (+22.6) — fell −20.3 to #8. That round trip is exactly why a one-week move is an observation, not a trend. The tracked set held roughly flat (473 → 467)

Stepping back from individual movers: the number of brands ChatGPT placed in its recommendation set across these 10 categories was 467 this week, against 473 the prior week — down 6, or about 1%. After last week’s +33 jump, this is essentially flat.

Table 1: Ranked brands per category, week of June 14 vs June 21, 2026. Source: DecaGEO, ChatGPT (GPT-5.4), US. The takeaway isn’t the −6 — it’s that weekly counts wobble (last week +33, this week −6). Read the level (~470 brand slots across 10 categories), not the weekly tick. Some boards added names (AI Writing +5, GEO +3) while others concentrated (Influencer Marketing −6, CRM −4); much of this overlaps newly detected or re-aggregated brands, so confirm over 2–3 weeks rather than reading any single week as a trend. For a brand that isn’t recommended yet, the more useful signal is structural: the list ChatGPT draws from is still moving week to week, not fixed. The set is decided week by week, not once. This index covers 10 categories today, and the set keeps shifting week over week. Don’t see your category here? That’s a gap in the index, not a verdict — request a chart for your category and DecaGEO will check whether ChatGPT recommends brands in it and send you the first chart.

Table 2: As of the week of June 21, 2026 · ChatGPT (GPT-5.4), US. Risers and fallers by DECA Score change vs June 14. Open any category’s live board: CRM, SEO, GEO, Email Marketing, Marketing Automation, Project Management, Help Desk, Influencer Marketing, AI Writing Assistants, AI Image Generators. Three categories churned most — GEO (20 of 91 brands moved ±10 ranks), Project Management (13 of 50), and SEO (11 of 60). Three were calmest, with no brand moving ±10 ranks: CRM, Marketing Automation, and AI Writing Assistants. The top is hardest to challenge in AI Image Generators, AI Writing Assistants, and Email Marketing (large #1-vs-#2 gaps), and most contestable in Project Management (a ~4-point moat) and Marketing Automation.

What this means for you

Every reader splits first on one question: is your category tracked in the index at all? The positions below only apply once it is. If your category isn’t tracked yet. Not appearing in the 10 above isn’t a verdict — the index keeps shifting its coverage week to week (AI Writing +5, GEO +3 this week). Request a chart and you’ll get the first chart of who ChatGPT recommends in your space. Requested categories are prioritized by demand. If your category is tracked, read your position:
  • Not yet recommended. Start where the entry bar is lowest and the board is least crowded — Help Desk and AI Image Generators are less dense than GEO or Influencer Marketing. Note that GEO has a low entry score but is now the most volatile board.
  • Mid-pack. In the churning boards (GEO, Project Management, SEO), measure your gap to the fifth-place score and study this week’s climbers — the GEO-native tools (Profound, Otterly.AI, Scrunch AI) all moved up together, not one at a time.
  • Stable or leading. Project Management and Marketing Automation leaders sit on moats of about 4 and 9 points — thin enough to track challengers weekly. Even GEO’s #1 saw its margin cut to 10 points. See the live board to monitor who’s closing in.

Don’t see your category?

Not appearing in the 10 categories above isn’t a verdict that ChatGPT is silent in your market — it more likely means the category hasn’t been mapped yet. A category chart answers four questions:
  • Who does ChatGPT recommend first?
  • Which brands are entering the recommendation set?
  • How high is the Top 5 threshold (the DECA Score needed to break in)?
  • Is the category open, volatile, or locked?

FAQ

Which brand gained the most in ChatGPT recommendations this week? Profound, up 63.3 DECA points to #2 in GEO, for the week of June 21, 2026. Which category is most volatile right now? GEO — 20 of 91 brands moved ±10 ranks, and three GEO-native tools surged into the top four. Project Management and SEO also churned. Where is the #1 spot least safe? Project Management, where about 4 DECA points separate #1 from #2, followed by Marketing Automation (a 9-point gap). Even GEO’s leader saw its margin fall to 10 points this week. Did the CRM leader change? Yes — Zoho CRM rose +12.1 to DECA 100 and took #1 from Dynamics 365 Sales (now #2). HubSpot Sales Hub fell −19.2 to #3. See the HubSpot vs Agentforce comparison for the ongoing race below the leader. Is ChatGPT recommending more brands overall? The tracked set was 467 brand slots this week against 473 the prior week (−6, about 1%) — essentially flat after last week’s +33. Weekly counts wobble and partly overlap newly detected brands, so read the level (~470), not the weekly tick. My category isn’t one of the 10 — can I still see who AI recommends in it? Yes. The index expands as recommendations in a category mature. Request a chart and DecaGEO will check whether ChatGPT recommends brands there and send the first chart. Requested categories are prioritized by demand. How should I read a single week’s move? As an observation, not a buying signal — confirm with 2–3 weeks of trend before acting. This week’s reversals (Agentforce Marketing, HubSpot Sales Hub both gave back last week’s gains) show why.

How we measure

DecaGEO runs a consistent set of recommendation prompts each week through ChatGPT (GPT-5.4) in the US region and records which brands are named and how prominently, across 10 software categories.
  • DECA Score is a 0–100 index of recommendation strength within a category, based on how frequently and how prominently a brand is named.
  • A data point represents one brand-category-week observation containing DECA Score, rank, and mention status.
  • Model labels (e.g., GPT-5.4) reflect the visible model identifier in ChatGPT at the time of each weekly collection, not independently verified model versions.
  • Limitations: Week-over-week counts partly reflect newly detected brands and may include re-aggregation noise. A single week’s change is an observation, not a trend. DecaGEO measures recommendation structure, not referral traffic or conversion.
